We purchased a retractable awning with a drop down shade last spring and have used it all summer. We absolutely love it! Our deck has westward exposure with no shade. We love to have dinner on the deck but the sun is blinding at that time of day. The awning works extremely well. The drop down shade blocks the blinding light but lets you see through it. The awning also shades our kitchen which is an added plus and makes it more enjoyable for food preparation. The company is family owned and has been in business for 2-3 generations. They are knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. We consider the awning our best purchase.
