OTHER AWNINGS | EASTERN'S SUNFLEXX AWNING |
| ARMS |
Other awning systems lack the necessary strength and flexibility in their arms and shoulder joints. This can lead to broken arms and the entire awning could pull away from your home.
| Eastern Awning has engineered the strongest & safest arms on the market. Contained in the adjustment shoulder is a highly specialized urethane compression joint.
|
| CABLES |
Most other awning manufacturers use galvanized steel cables. This cable only after a year and a half, has completely deteriorated.
| Eastern uses only non-rusting stainless steel cable in our spring tensioning systems. Under comparable conditions the three-year-old stainless steel cable shows no evidence of rust or corrosion.
|
| JOINTS |
Typically, Lateral arm Joints are either pressed fit, riveted or screwed. This type of arm assembly causes excessive wear which weakens the structure and creates an irritating creak with the slightest breeze
| All Eastern arm joints are permanently bonded with DYMAXX adhesive. This unique method of arm assembly is up to 8 times stronger. It also eliminates noise and joint fatigue.
|
| GEARS |
Many systems compromise efficiency for cost by using a less desirable worm drive gear.
| The Sunflexx's 3:1 or 7.8:1 ratio gear are the most efficient available. It retracts or extends your awning, requiring less than half the the time and effort. In addition, Sunflexx's gears have a built-in stop to protect from over winding, preventing fabric damage.

| CASTING |
Die castings as pictured here are often used as a less expensive alternative to permanent mold castings. Poor mold design frequently contributes to air pockets resulting in less structural strength.
| Eastern awning uses only permanent mold castings which are known for there superior strength.
|
| PAINT |
Most awning manufacturers fail to provide an adequate protective finish. This photo is an example of what results from poor surface preparation or paint quality.
| Eastern uses a superior, electrostatic powder coated finish on all brackets and castings. This process creates an extremely attractive, durable, protective coating which resists cracking, chipping and pealing.
